Professional Journey
My story begins in Baltimore City — a place that shaped my resilience, my perspective, and my purpose. Growing up here, I witnessed the realities of financial struggle up close: families doing everything right, working hard, yet still feeling like stability was always just out of reach. Baltimore taught me grit — the kind that comes from facing challenges head-on and finding ways to rise above them.
But it was my Jesuit education that gave that grit direction. It instilled in me the values of discipline, integrity, and service — a belief that success means little unless it's used to uplift others. The combination of Baltimore's toughness and the Jesuit commitment to purpose and principle molded me into the man I am today — grounded in faith, driven by empathy, and unwavering in my pursuit of excellence.
Over the years, I built a career deeply rooted in the world of finance — gaining experience across branch banking, lending, insurance, investments, and retirement planning. I learned how financial systems truly work, and more importantly, how they affect real people. I saw how one informed decision could change a family's future, and how the lack of guidance could hold someone back for years.
Entrepreneurial Vision
Those experiences opened my eyes to a greater purpose. Working within some of the largest and most respected financial institutions taught me what excellent service should look like — but it also revealed what was missing: a genuine connection to the people being served. That realization became the driving force behind Certus Finance Group.
I created Certus as a fountain of information and service — a place where financial knowledge meets real-world application. Through Certus, I've combined everything I've learned throughout my career to help individuals, families, and business owners take control of their finances and build lasting legacies.
